okay, i have a 3 week old baby, and she has been eating about 8 times in 24 hours, and sometimes she drinks 4 ounces, and sometimes she drinks only 2 ounces. then when shes hungry, she wakes up screaming, and acts like she will drink the whole bottle, but then she only drank 2 ounces. Is this normal? i feel like im not feeding her right or something since she dont wanna eat. Please answer

What you need to do is regulate her feedings so you can get a better feel for what fills her up, and for how long... My 5 week old eats 4 ozs. every 3 hours which means 8 times so your number of feedings is right on track. You should try giving your baby 3 ozs. and see if this keeps her satisfied for 3 hours, if not increase it to 3.5, 4 etc. The key is to find what satisfies your baby, but keep it on some sort of a "schedule" for your sanity, and for the sake of monitoring growth and fluid intake. Good luck- and be patient, it takes a little bit of time.

Yes it sounds ok I would watch her for the next couple of weeks if she doesnt increase this amount then I would talk to your doctor. My daughter only drank 2-3 ounces at that age and she was in the hospital and they said that was a good amout.

Is her weight ok? Does the doctor have any concerns? If her weight is ok and the doctor is ok with it then allow your baby to only each her fill, overeating can cause her to reflux it. If you are concerned and haven't brought it up with your doctor do so, if she is on the growth curve and is not underweight she should be fine.
