No, an answer is a responce to a question. You can not answer an answer, you can however respond to an answer with an agreement, dis-agreement or nuetral statement even if you are not the one who asked the question.

As for ripping a hole in the universe, all I can say is what?!?

No. You can't technically answer. You can respond, but answering to my mind implies that a question has been asked. Since a statement has been spoken, not a question, answering is not a possiblity.
