i went to my ob visit yesterday abd doc told me that my baby's fetal age is 36 weeks although i am almost 38 weeks preg. He told me to check that baby is moving regularly and to do a monitor in 2 days time.
Anyone had the same thing? i am really worried.

My doc told me the same thing in my last few weeks and said I must have my dates wrong (from my last period) but I knew I wasn't wrong and so I was worried too. Anyway my baby girl was born perfectly healthy & normal so try not to worry too much.

Oh yes i have seen this before. I have had a pregnancy where I was a few weeks further along then what the baby actually showed on the ultrasound; then I have had them the opposite with another child of mine.

Your little one will be here before you know it, I would go with the development stages that is quoted to you via the ultrasound on your childs development and not by the other 38wks. It all depends on the baby's development and it's so close that you could go anytime between now and another 4-6 weeks!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Every baby is different. At 36 weeks, my son was measuring out to 41 weeks! He was born 9lbs 11.9 oz! Just make sure your taking care of yourself and your baby, by avoiding smoking (which is the #1 cause of low birth weight) and taking prenatal vitamins everyday. If your doctor is not concerned, then you have no reason to be worried. Enjoy this time and rest up to prepare for your big day.
Congratulations!

You might have a smaller baby or you are not as far into your pregnancy as you thought.

According to my mum i was born at 40 weeks but to the doctor i was 38. Nothing to worry about, so long as your baby is healthy you should be happy. Dates are never 100%

The baby will be fine. I just had a baby & was measuring 2 weeks bigger. They were saying "the baby is going to be big, etc, etc" Turns out she was fine & she was the perfect normal size. Some just measure larger...not to worry. Congrats & good luck.

Yes, at one point my baby measure 1 week ahead...now she measures two weeks behind. My dr. showed some concern, but not really that much. I'm stressing over it, though.
