There is not much conservative about what the Bush administration is doing in their policies, but they are labeled as conservatives while anyone who opposes the was is an automatic liberal. I don't understand this thinking that is taking place by narrow minded americans. Is this what we call "narrow frame of reference"?

Americans stand by their parties but are missing the real point of conservatism and liberalism. They should not vote for a member of a party who is not practicing the issues that their party stands for.

I think the only reason why they tagged the Democratic party with the 'liberal' is because they are more outgoing for one. They accept more of the 'off the wall' than a Conservative and they are more liberal when it comes to alternative lifestyles then we are. Or at least people like me. They believe in abortion, and the more strict of the two, back away from it because most of the conservatives feel that life begins with that heartbeat at 8 weeks. Anything living creature with a heartbeat is more than a clump of cells...it's life.

So, these are a couple of things. I know a bunch of people probably said that, but I just got here. :>)

Even though there are differences, however, everyone needs to get along and stand together as a nation. We're spending so much time fault finding, the positive has left the room. As an American people, we do need to care for one another because when it comes to our freedom of this republic, we need to back each other. We are the nation of strength, but recently it doesn't show, even among Democrats.

I so agree with you. That is why I constantly try to correct questioners that direct questions at liberals that there are many Republican liberals. IE, Giuliani.

There are also more conservative Democrats than ever before. The November election while some define it as a victory for liberals, wasn't such a thing. The vast majority that won in congressional seats for the Democratic party are called Blue Dog Democrats = conservatives.

I think the stereotyping falls back on the 'extreme' mentality... both sides wanting ppl to think of the other side as the extreme.

i'm not ordinary adequate with British political background to understand lots on the subject of the Liberal occasion. They have been in potential an prolonged time in the past. So sorry, won't be in a position to arise with any names for you. i could hate to be sure to any extent further Republicans pass away. yet once you insist that I call some, i could say Romney, Palin, Cheney, Bohner, McConnell, and Cantor. Oh, yeah, Rudy Giuliani, and Newt Gingrich too (however the 5 or six ex-better halves can stay). i could say Larry Craig and Ted Stevens yet they have already left. Does Abramoff plan on coming back after penitentiary? i'm hoping not or i could could call him too. And that postpone dude. the place did he ever pass? He desires to stay away. i admire the two John McCain and his daughter Meghan. i'm hoping they stay around for an prolonged time. Ciao!

the two ideologies are vastly different. I tend to learn tword concervatism but don't see it practiced much any more. We've allowed through our apathy as a majority to let government grow far too big and it is in way too many parts of our personal lives. I now see a country that has traded in it's life liberty and the persuit of hapiness for fat dumb and politically correct.

all americans should be independents. as in independent thinkers, who vote for the candidate(s) who best represent their views. the problem is that most americans are mindless drones that just spout out soundbites from the boob tube.

The Jews did it to control the gentiles. You should know by now that everything that goes wrong in the world is the result of Jewish meddling in order to make money and screw over someone. They hate blacks, so they got them enslaved by their puppets. They hate arabs, so they forbid them from drinking alcohol through their puppet Mohamed.
