what tricks, techniques should one have accomplished at level one two and three in gymnastics ? I know flip flops are somewhere way later on....but some basic skill moves?

Here are some fo the basics you learn in beginner tumbling level 1:
Drills

* Straigh jump to stick from hip hight
* Front support, pop hands up to 2'' mat
* Jump backwards from block to stick
* Rebounds on 3 blocks (up and down)
* From stand, tight fall back on mat

Skills

* Side cartwheel, land sideways
* Cartwheel to lunge
* Hurdle from 2 feet
* Carwheel to stand with feet together
* From a stand, walk hands down, half way to bridge
* Kick to momentary handstand, stepdown

Strenght

* 5 push-ups (straight body)
* 3 wheelbarrel pops (straigh arms)
* 10 tucked V-snaps
* 10 tucked jumps
* Handstand held wiht stomach to wall 10 sec

Flexibility

* Pike sit and reach fingers to ankels 10 sec
* Bridge with arms straight and shoulder width
* Wide straddle sit with straight legs
* 3 inch worms with straigt legs

Here are some of the basics you learn in beginner tumbling level 2:
Drills

* Straight jump to stick from waist height
* Handstand against wall, shoulders sink and stretch
* Jump backwards from 2 blocks to stick
* Rebounds over 3 blocks
* Cartwheel to releve
* From stand, jump to back on mat

Strenght

* 5 push-ups touch forehead to floor
* 5 V-snaps
* 15 tuck jumps
* Handstand held with stomach to wall 20 sec

Skills

* Cartwheel on the line
* Releve to cartwheel
* Power hurdle, cartwheel
* Round-off, off to block (hands on block)
* Kick to handstand, down to front support
* From a stand, walk hands down to wall, halfway to bridge, return to stand

Flexibility

* Pike sit and reach fingers to toes 10 sec
* Bridge with arms straight and shoulder width, feet together
* Wide straddle sit with chest close to floor
* 5 inch worms with legs straight

I am currently working on level 3 girls rec, you basicly try to improve from level 2.

ok so i am a level 8 gymnast. I would be no more knowlagable about gymnastics if i were an elite gymnast. So, by levels 1, 2, ans 3, you pretty much only need to be able to do cartwheels, round-off, forward rolls(that kind of stuff) on floor, pull-over , and swings on bars, walk across the high beam, straight jumps on beam, and a run, punch straight jump for vault. hope i helped you.

p.s. back hand-springs(flip-flops, flick-flacks) are level 4
