I do not know how or if any of the following info will be of help... there is St. Judes childrens hospital.... I am not sure what diagnosis your son has.. but here is a page from their website... and I will put the link here too.....

To refer a patient to St. Jude, the child's physician must make contact with a St. Jude physician. The physician may call toll free 1-866-2ST-JUDE (1-866-278-5833), request a referral online, or fax relevant information to (901) 495-4011. The physician may also contact the Physician-to-Physician Referral Facilitator by e-mail.

there are other hospitals... but I realized while looking them up, and typing this that I have no clue which to direct you to.... St. Jude's at least says in their info that even if the patient does not have any of the diseases listed to contact as they might be able to assist patients? so, I figured it is a start? other than an institute or hospital, I do not know of any one person that could be contacted... your son's doctor should be able to reach a doctor stateside who would then be able to help.... but, that is a guess....

I hope this has been of some help
good luck!

I know I answered this last night.. but I keep going back and trying different search options here... I know how I would feel in the situation.... I found another site there is a link after this to get there... for a newer lasik surgery prodeure team... looks like they either accept patients from outside US, or plan on going/have been to various countries... I say this cause they have a pricing giude for India there.... still not sure it will help (though it can't hurt..) as I do not know why he is blind... if the eyes are healthy, disease related.. etc.... but again, I do hope this and any other info put up here in answers for you is of assistance... good luck

you need your doctor to contact a doctor over here in states. some places will take the more challenging cases, I know, but I do not know how they decide or any other way than a personal "in" <-- i.e. one doctor to another on professional level pleading your son's case
if your doctor won't then press him for a reason why, and see if he will give you names and numbers of specialists

i would suggest that you just start writing eye doctors and hospitals in the U.S.

many doctors do work on patients who cannot afford it for free. they will do x number of these surgeries per year.

the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio is a well-known hospital for its outstanding service and successes. i included their link below.
