You mean when a plaque with the donor's name is on a church wall, etc? That is so everyone remembers. Some people feel they can purchase immortality. They want to be remembered. Otherwise, they think, what's is the use of their lives? It's a very human thing to do.

Have you ever done it? People don't wont any one to do anything. He/She puts their name after donation but atleast they do it. People don't want to do any good thing but who ever is doing they just always try to find fault in that work.
And believe me I don't think so person like you going to donate some thing but if you will donate you will also willing to put your name plate.
