I think most beginning designers actually make them themselves to save on costs and make more prototypes to show off. As for places that put them together from a pattern, I wouldn't know, sorry.

Had a friend here ( in Australia) that made them her self then went to partys such as hens nights girlie nights sold heaps of them and now makes them in Sydney eaning alot!

Best place is India. You can find many who manufacture hand bags with natural material as well as synthetic ones. If you are serious. give me more details.
