I have it sealed. But since I wil be working will children I am sure they can still see the record. This was a criminal mischief misdeameanor C crime that I commited while I was a senior in high school. I was 18 then. I am 22 now. Thank you!

It would probably be an asset. I you got in trouble as a kid you know the beast you will be dealing with. Be upfront in your interview and tell them about it before they find out. We all did stupid stuff in High School, but if you have managed to get a teaching certificate in 4 years you must have straighten out OK.

Who knows. When that question shows up on your teachers application lol. You need to seek legal advice and find out what the terms of your "sealed" case are.

Why not ask an attorney about it. You can get a free consultation, and that you way you would have to worry. Maybe there is some way to have it removed since you were not a repeat offender.

In my education class, our teacher told us you were ok as long as you didn't have any felonies and the misdemeanors weren't for crimes against children or the elderly.
