there is a jar full of pink and white buttons. you pull out 5 pinks and 2 whites if this ratio continues, what will be the difference between the number of pinks and whites if there are 140 buttons in the jar?

5:2 means 5 out of every 7 buttons will be pink. 5/7*140=100 pink

therefore, 100 will be pink and the remaining 40 will be white

the difference is then 100 - 40 = 60
