Does "win the war" mean outlaw Islam?

Most of the answers so far, let glimpse an open-minded opinion, and will be too difficult for me to lean to the best among these answers. So I make herewith a request to those who read this to be the choosers of a best answer.

Win the war for BushOilCo means Hegemony over the Middle East Oil Region. We now have military bases or surrogates from Cairo to Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. The only holdout is Iran. The mistake, and the reason it has been so difficult, came from assuming that sheer technical supremacy of force was enough to pull it off. A modern military can easily and quickly dispose of an inferior military in the open desert, but who ever advised that the populations would greet us with open arms? To reach their goal BushOilCo needs the cooperation of the citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan, and history should have told them of how many have tried that in Afghanistan and failed, the most recent being the Soviets. Why should the Iraqis be any different? Not only is this policy morally bankrupt, it is supremely arrogant and stupid as well, while all this death and destruction continues on. And like the Soviets, we are nearly bankrupt from this little "escapade" of the House of Bush.
But, your question becomes more relevant every day, for as the bombs keep falling and we kill more people going door to door, some day soon all of Islam may well rally to throw us out, and then Bush's wish fulfilling prophecy about "terror" will come true.

One of the things that's peculiar about Islam among world religions is the extremely strong sense of comraderie between Muslims. Muslims are not supposed to speak ill of each other or undermine each other unless it's absolutely necessary to defend another person. Part of the philosophy of Islam is that all the believers belong to a special family, and therefore have special status and are supposed to act almost as a single entity whenever possible. Obviously not all Muslims practice this part of their faith to a great extent, but that's probably where the expression comes from.

Islam demands it's followers wage war against the rest of the world until only Allah is worshipped. Islamic holy texts break the world down into 2 groups. The house of Islam & the house of war. When dealing with people like that.. there are very few options available.

The problem is not a few fundamentalists.. the problem is the religion. A religion that has waged a constant state of war against every other people it has ever come in contact with.

But, we live in a world filled with politically correct idiots who mindlessly accept what they're told without thought... who refuse to look at history, current events or the religion that is the cause of so much of the violence in the world.

Let's win the war on Christmas!
Let's win the war on doctors!
Let's win the war for your mind!
War against religion!
War on illegal immigrants!

Oh yea then there is the war on terror!
Oh but that last one has been moved from metaphor into an actual war with colonels, and ground troops and surface to air missiles and bunker busters, and so on.
Hmm.
That is going to be a tough one.

Attempting to outlaw Islam will insure battles and "insurgency" for I would say at least another 200 years. Those are battles that would not have been there otherwise.

What and make the Islam the new Judaism, i think bush would have to at least grow a small black mustache for that one, then we'd need to trade our stars and stripes for hammers of oppression. I am quite thankful that the us will not fall into the same foot steps of Nazism. How could one even think of eliminating a race of people that has been around for thousands of years....

There is a huge undeniable difference between Islam and those that resort to terrorism, may we never be to blind to see it.

You have a war against an enemy, this is propaganda to try to fight ideas, you can not kill ideas with bullets and bombs.

This "war on terror" is a fictious war that was created by the neo-cons to gain public support for wars for oil and the Ignorance of the American population fell for it hook , line, and sinker just as the brits did!

We will soon attack IRAN and explode into WW3. The U.S. will re-instate the draft (why do you think you have to have a passport to leave the country again? that is right, to stop draft dodgers!) and they will make BILLIONS and TRILLIONS from all of the war!

Islam and Islamic terrorist are two entirely different things.

It's simply ignorant to try and equate an entire religion with the actions of a group of demented terrorists. We do not intend to out law Islam - we intend to outlaw an idiotic interpretation of Islam by a group whose tactics have slaughtered innocent people and objectives amount to nothing more than a domination ideology. And that's simply not mainstream Islam.

The war is against those fanatical elements of Islam who believe that their religion empowers and expects them to commit murder and torture and violence against any and all persons who do not share their insane philosophy of jihad. We can fight back, or we can join them. there is no middle ground here. With rational and reasonable people we have no issues or quarrels.
