home pregnancy tests are usually accurate when they say you are pregnant, but when they say that you are not.... that is entirely another issue it itself.

i explain the test results in your last question.

as far as symptoms are concerned, some people may not know they are pregnant until they are quite far along in their pregnancy. this is rare, but it can happen. i know someone who found out they were pregnant at 7 mos. they were also obese and probably did not have regular periods anyhow.

you can actually "convince" yourself that you are pregnant because the stress of thinking you are pregnant when you aren't ready to be pregnant can cause you to have pregnant-like symptoms. yes, i have done this before...

really, everyone is different with signs and often times it takes a month or two for people to develop signs...

someone below did bring up a good point i forgot to mention: if you have had a miscarriage recently and your body is still producing some of the things the urine test looks for in a positive test, then you can have a false positive... however, if you are in this situation, then you should be meeting with your obgyn on a regular basis anyhow.

Im not sure if "everyone" can depend on a home pregnancy test.

I know that everytime I took a home pregnancy test they were correct, but I ALWAYS followed up with a positive home pregnancy test at my local OB-GYN as soon as I knew I had a positive.

It is possible to not have any symptoms at first and be pregnant. Pregnancy symptoms come at different times in pregnancy and all pregnancy symptoms are different.

no pregnancy test arnt always right. You can have false positives and false negitives. for more info on that go to www.peeonastick.com

Yes you can have no symptoms and still be pregnant. Most woman dont even notice symptoms until after they miss their period anyway. Some woman are lucky and never notice any symptoms.

symptoms of pregnancy can also be brought on by something else so you can rely on symptoms. They can be brought on by things such as stress, an on coming period, thinking about pregnancy and much more.

If you test positive than it is right. A positive is a positive. That's what I was told when I called the doctor to make my first prenatal appointment! Can you still be pregnant without any symptoms? Yes! If you tested negative you could still be pregnant. It just may be too early for a positive result.

no, hpt are not always right and most of the time women take the test way too early, and some don't do it right. and yes some women may experience no pregnancy symptoms at all (i didn't with my first). but if the hpt comes out positive try taking another a few days later with your first pee of the day!! in the morning...

A home pregnancy test is quite accurate, especially if a result is obtained and verified. However, it is highly recommended that a blood test be done to gather definitive results and confirm/negate the home pregnancy test results.

If it's positive and you don't have a miscarriage yes you can rely that you are pregnant and if you tested too soon and you get a false negative you would need to retest.

I took 6 PTs once because I knew that the first 5 were wrong...the weren't :)

Most of the OTC PT are the same as the ones that are in the DR office...just cheaper.

If you are late...take one...if neg wait a week take another one.

They are quite reliable. But doctors will tell you different.
Do at least two and then if they are both positive then see your doctor for bloods to confirm all is ok.
