why do girls try to make their selfs be un healthy thin to make their selfs look pretty? i think young girls that try to be to thin does more harm to them selfs then good. i think the average size of a woman is a size 10 or 12. i think their should be more ideal models out their and their should be more plus size models out their. i think someone should not look like nicole richie because she is to thin. i think people should be proud of who they are and dont let anyone pressure them in to anything . beauty is only skin deep i think their is more to people then their looks.

the reason why i am asking this question is because my ex husband told my 5 year old daugter that weighs about 55 pounds that she was fat and know she dont want to eat. and i dont think anyone should make a child feel like that or anyone else. and i allways thought u should not judge somone for the way they look people are so much more then their loooks.i am not thin or fat i dont care what people think of me but for my exhusband to make my 5 year old feel like that she should not eat that is wrong my ex husband should up lift her not put her down

I think maybe the main reason want to be think is because the average size is 10 or 12 and because society's pressure to be thin.
Ever since I was young I was thin and relatively flat chested and all I wanted was to be thick, with curves, and basically just healthy looking.
Finally once I turned 17 or 18, I got more curves. And I'm bigger and I'm happy with my body. I'm glad I'm not thin because to me beauty is defined by your own terms, not by anyone else's.
At the same time, it's so hard for women to appreciate what they have. If women are thin, like I was, they want to be bigger. If women are big, they want to be thin.

Because men tell them directly and in-directly that thin is beautiful. You see it everyday when men make comments like she's a fat hog, or fat pig etc, etc.

they probably think that guys will see them attractive when actually they won't...its just nasty...not to sound weird or preverted but yea "We like some junk in that trunk" that basically says it...Girls shouldn't be too fat or too thin...

because the media says girls are supposed to be thin to be pretty and it's easier to listen to someone else tell you what to be than to decide for yourself just to be who you are
