My tighter clothes (ie jeans) became too tight at around 16 weeks. I could wear them, but just looped a rubber band through the holes.
Don't worry about it though, everyone grows at different rates and later when you are huge you will be wishing you could fit into your old clothes!
All the best.

It has a lot to do with your size before you got preg. If you are average weight or even over wieght then it may take more time than normal to "show" If you are under weight then you may start to show earlier. I know that with my first preg. I didn't show untill I was at the end of my sixth month but after that it was like look out mamma. With this preg.(34 wks; 8.5 months; 6 weeks to go:0)) People are just now noticing, which let me tell you is just a little more than frustrating. I was 25 lbs. heavier starting this preg. as opposed to the last. My Weight gain has varied too. I gained 27 lbs. with my first. and between 12-14 lbs with this. So hang in there your boddy and the way it decides to carry your baby will make the determination as to when you will show. I hope that I've helped.

Everyone IS different, but most people that I know start showing at around 5 months.

I wouldn't rush it too much, because for some reason when your pregnant and showing, strangers think that they have the right to just rub your belly and ask you personal questions...this holds true for your family and friends as well. Be warned. And lots of luck to you, being pregnant can be a wonderful feeling.

If this is your first pregnancy you probably won't show until 4 or 5 months. This is because the uterus has not yet grown outside the pelvic area. However should you be concerned about this speak to your midwife and make her aware of your concerns she should be more than happy to sit an explain things to you. Another good resource if you don't have an imminent appointment with her is a pregnancy magazine. A lot of them have photographic images of the stages of pregnancy and a little about what happens at each stage. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

as you said everyone is different it also depends onb your build to how noticable it is. In general you dont show until 4 months some 5 months, so give it a few weeks and you will be showing, wait till you come near to the end you;ll be so ballooned you wish it would hurry up and come out lol, congratulations anyway :)

Hi,

Im 10 weeks and have not put on any weight at all, which is good. You usually start putting on weight from 3 months onwards.

You can show now or it may be in the next couple of weeks that this will start to happen.

My tummy is a little protruding, but i havent gained any weight..

theres no way to tell. Generally you will start to notice getting a little bigger or "rounding out" around the 18th week and up. For me at 18 weeks i just looked a little bloated and then at 28 weeks i thought i was huge. now im 37 weeks and i dont think i can possibly get bigger. Dont worry youll start showing soon.

You don't show as early as that. I know you are anxious, but you will start to show in the 4th or 5th month. Then, by the 6th, everybody that looks at you will know for sure that you are pregnant. It just takes a long time for that baby to grow.
