I have no reason to be depressed... a new home on 12 acres, a job, many blessings all around... but the Winter Blues have me down and out and I can't seem to beat 'em. Any suggestions?

watch The Secret at youtube.com or thesecret.tv

its a video documentary about the law of attraction. its mind changing for most people.

even if you're not into it, i think you'll find it curious and interesting.

also, try foreign films. they're very engrossing than american movies because they consider film more of an art form. go to blockbuster. or view something dramatic, like a shakespeare play on stage or an indonesian concert.

also, try experiencing the other side of life. see how other people live. volunteer and help the disadvantaged, or read about it or travel to Peru or Mexico and see the ruins. Greece i think (or anywhere in the Mediterranean) is beautiful and uplifting. Or go somewhere warm, like the Bahamas or Florida.

good luck.

I solved the winter blues in one season after 7 years of suffering by making a pair of blue light glasses and wearing them for an hour at night when I went to bed (you can read with them on). I'm sure an hour any time of the day would be ok. Just get two blue leds, some extra wire, connect to small battery (check with the electronics shop staff as to the battery required) and attach to glasses frames with tape so that the light shines in your eyes. (Take the lens out of the glasses). I also put blue fluoros in my kitchen.

Ok, here's what I want you to do: after reading this sentence, stand up, step away from the computer, put your best cd in the stereo and begin dancing for five minutes straight.

Surly, your spirit will be revitalized after this sequence.

What you commit to controls you. People commit to all kinds of things, like happiness, control, security, etc. Ask yourself this: I will just be happy if _____ . Fill in the blank. Whatever that thing is, that is the thing you are committing to as your chief desire, and so, since you mentioned “blessings”, perhaps the one who “blessed” you should replace what you put in the blank.

Love the Secret and I watch it almost everyday. Try a garlic tonic soup or bake garlic cloves.

I've heard that its advantageous to purchase a sunlamp of some sort and start your day in front of it. It doesn't cause sun damage in anyway, and the light your body receives, helps you feel better.

I myself, cannot wait for Spring!!!!!!

Good luck!
