Its most likely a psychological thing since most people who will be making this pregnancy enquiry might not be too enthusiastic about the pregnancy so asking the question on Yahoo Answers gives them the benefit of the doubt that they might not be pregnant than to just go get a test and know the truth. Hope this makes sense

Ditto!
But what gets to me even more is when people give people such INACCURATE ADVICE and then people choose these as the best answers!!
I just saw one question where a young girl wanted to know if she could get pregnant the first sime she has sex, and some numbskull wote back that its possible but unlikely because you are immature when you first have sex and too young to be in love, and if you're not "making love" then the risk of pregnancy is low. And this girl chose this as the best answer and thanked the respondent for not being judgemental!! No - just mental.
Astonishing.

No clue. Just going through some of the other questions posted and wondering similar things. It's pretty scary out there! I sure hope people don't use Yahoo Answers as a way to prevent actual thinking!

Well they ask because they believe all women have the natural gift of being Psychic. Or they are on their last feeble attempt to be cheap before going to the doc or purchasing a test. Naturally women are attention seekers so yahoo answers has provided them with the perfect forum to ask idiotic questions.

You make a good point! Perhaps people feel this is more anonamous than going to the GP or pharmacy. Still they can not really expect a definnative answer here.

Yes, but those tests are so expensive and i think they want to at least kind of be sure they have good reason to actually believe they truly are before they waste their money and buy one. It's also an exciting thing with girls and i think they like to be able to tell as many people as they can about it.....its a "girl" thing.

No kidding. I always think, 'well, yes, if you've had sex you have a chance of being pregnant'. You'd think that it'd be taught in sex ed in school...sex=chance of pregnancy.
Probably may change from day to day, but there's always a chance.
