i liked the persian war with the spartans, it showed their bravery and it was real violent and bloody haha

Not sure what you mean by greatest - most important? largest in scope? most interesting? I'll say that the most interesting was the the Gallic Wars of Julius Caesar. Fighting mostly unknown peoples in mostly unknown terrain must have been exhilirating for a soldier like Caesar. Always seeming to stretch his forces too much yet then consolidating them in time to fight and win a grand battle - exciting stuff.

The Hindenburg....Oh the Humanity. Oh wait thats not 'ancient' I guess. Still one of the greatest accidents...got rid of some of the rich nazi's. That just shows some people shouldn't play with things that big.

They had more men than any other civilization or nation could muster up at the time. In the end the Chu literally buried 200,000 Qin soldiers marking the end of the Chin/Qin dynasty.

rome and barbarians(Atilla the Hun) they fought bravely but rome eventually fell to the hands of the goths in 476 AD. and the Byzantines suceeded them
