i just had a baby, and i got my iron tested, and they said it is 14.4, is that too high? what is too high for iron?

Actually, that seems pretty low. Do you know what units it's being measured in? I work in a hospital lab and our normal range is 35 - 150 ug/dL (micrograms/deciliter)

Are you referring to your Hemoglobin? That sounds about right for hemoglobin and it's usually what is measured to determine blood loss and a general check for iron after pregnancy. Our normal range for that is 12.0 - 15.8. g/dL (grams/deciliter)

Average is between 120 - 160 or 180, depending on the source.
