my home work is like this, i have 21 lbs and 7oz. i have to reach to 30lbs what kind of operation do i have to do to round up to the total of 30lbs?

30 lbs. also equals 29 lbs and 16 oz.

29 lbs 16 oz
_ 21 lbs 7 oz

8 lbs 9 oz

this is your equation , to awnser the question what is needed to get to 30 lbs the awnser would be that you need to add 8 lbs and 9 oz.

Could say 30 lb = 29lb 16oz
now subtract------- 21lb 7 oz
Answer ----------------8lb 9oz
