Are they just old news or, are women still wearing them? Everday wearing or, once and awhile?

I don't think so! I asked a friend of mine who works at Frederick's of Hollywood and she said... "no way are they dead!" They sell almost as many as they did several years ago.
You hear designers and stores saying the sales have slowed down a lot. It’s true in a way, the difference is that when thongs came out, a lot of women ran to the store to buy them because they didn’t have any and they wanted to try them out. So the demand for thongs was high. Once women stocked up on thongs, well, sales went down as well.
Also, most women are realizing that thongs are great but that they can vary the type of underwear that they wear based on their mood any given day or time.
Some people say that evidence that thongs are dead is that you don’t see that many girls wearing them anymore. Like while sitting down and the thongs stick out over the pants.
I think that the reason is that thongs came out before the low rise jeans. When those jeans came out, girls were wearing them with regular thongs and that is why there were so many whale tails around. After a while, fashion designers wised up and designed the low rise thong. Making it easier to hide the thong under those low rise jeans. Also, girls are not just wearing their low rise thongs with their low rise jeans only. They are also wearing with just about anything. Which makes it hard for us guys to enjoy whale tails.
Sales of women's thongs were slowing down but have level off. But on the other hand, sales of men's thongs are slowly but steadily increasing.
I know some women that wear them everyday. Some vary from day to day depending on their mood. The girls that I’ve asked have given different answers. From everyday to never, and every combination in between.

they are all i own. i wear them every day. most of my friends wear them as well so i dont think they have gone away

i wear em everyday..i like them..some women are just more comfortable in boy shorts these days..but in my opinion..j-strings are sexier!

***-floss thongs or flip-flop thongs? either way, they're usually more for the summer. most girls i know like to cover up their bum's in the winter.

it depends on the woman...it is now known that they are really bad for germs. what is in now is the boy short style...my personal fav!
