This is the same answer I put in your other question on the same topic:

Here's some info from my site on adhering Styrofoam (and other brands of polystyrene foam):

Adhesives used to bond polystyrene foam to itself, or to other materials, should not contain solvents (will dissolve it).
....low temp "hot glue" guns are okay
.......high temp hot glue guns reach 385° F and will melt polystyrene foam (though the unhealthy burning doesn't occur till 49.), but low temp guns which reach only 250° F won't melt it and are even suggested for use with Styrofoam)
.......if using a a high temp gun, let the glue cool for a second or so before contacting the foam
...white glues (permanent type)... a poly(vinyl acetate) based (PVA - white glue) adhesive is satisfactory for foams that will not be immersed in water
...a setting type of adhesive (e .g., epoxy) is recommended when optimum resistance to moisture or heat is required
...Super 77 spray adhesive

In order to glue something to plastic, you might need to scratch it up a bit to give tooth, or perhaps put some kind of masking or other tape on the plastic, then adhere the polystyrene foam to that.

Hot glue works well, but it will melt the styrofoam if you're not careful. Put little dots of hot glue and don't press down on it - just set the brick down and leave it for a minute or two. Ought to do the trick.

I would use hot glue gun becuase the hot plastic will mold to the styrafoam better than just regular glue. I would use the glue gun or i would you super glue or just regular glue and put a bunch on there to make it stay. But if you really wanna make it stay on there use hot glue or use super glue. Or you can just use toothpicks and stick it through styrofoam and plastic sheet. That might work! i hope i helped you!!!!

Hot glue will NOT work! It melts the Styrofoam! You can get glue that is formulated for Styrofoam at any craft store that sells Styrofoam.
