Alright. I'm use to shooting 2 hands but haven't been really effective. I've read everything on the internet about shooting one hand flicking the wrist and everything. Then when i first go outside and try it, it doesn't go nowhere! Even when i'm shooting on a 7.5 feet rim, i'm still missing it while shooting one handed shots. Can somebody please help me and give me advice?

You can't shoot the ball with one hand and have a good shot. You should practice close to the hoop with one hand which will perfect your shot. Then when you can make them with one hand, add the second hand, just as a giude. Don't move the ball or push it with the second hand, it will just keep is steady. When your ready to shoot, make sure your bending your knees, this wil give you power. make sure your feet and eyes are square to the hoop. remember: BEEF: Balance, eyes, elbow, follow through. Make sure your feet are balanced and square to the hoop. Stand on the balls of your feet and make sure there sholdur length apart.Eyes, make sure your looking at the hoop, know where your target is. Elbows, make sure your 90, 90, 90. 90 degrees all around. your wrist, elbow, and armpit. make sure theres a 90 degree angle. Follow through, when you shoot snap your wrist to get rotation on the ball. pretend your reaching into a cookie jar and the ball will have the perfect rotation. make sure your elbow finishes above your eye.
Practice, practice, practice and you'll have a perfect shot in no time!
good luck

Two things, first if your ultimate goal is to play regular bball then you need to stop practicing on a 7.5 feet hoop. Doing this will get your body used to that height and when you go and play on a regular 10 footer is going to be harder for you.
Second, practice shooting only with your shooting hand, you know elbow straight towards the rim and follow trough with your hand. When you have been shooting with two hands it can be awkward to try it with one hand while the other hand holds the ball. So practice over and over again one handed, when you feel comfortable then introduce the other hand (which remember the other hands job is to hold the ball in place).
And last but not least, start from close to the rim, wherever you are the most comfortable then start to move further, making those first couple of shots from close will build confidence and it will make you feel more comfortable when taking a shot from further away.
Good Luck and remember don't think about too much, just shoot.

do shooting drills. start off close to the basket with standing layups. set a goal to make 5 shots from a spot on the left, middle, then right sides of the hoop. when you make those goals, move away from the hoop a few feet and set those goals again. keep doing this until you make your way to perimeter range (outside shot), and then eventually 3pt range. do this as much and whenever you can, and you will become a much improved shooter. i guarantee. the key thing is confidence and consistent shooting form, and this drill helps greatly to develop these. also if you want to be a good shooter, it takes practice and doesn't happen overnight. another tip i can offer you is to keep your eyes glued to the front middle of the rim wherever you're shooting from after you shoot, at least until the ball gets to the rim. this helps keep focus better. good luck =D

The way you phrased your question it seems as if you're asking if league rules somehow require you to have backspin on the ball. If that's the case, then the answer is 'of course not'. That would be like requiring a batter to have his back elbow up higher than his chin or requiring a pitcher to throw overhand instead of sidearm. On the other hand if you don't put backspin on the ball when you shoot, you're gonna miss a lot more shots, it's that simple. Backspin counters the flight of the ball so a lot more not-so-clean shots will go in as a result.

Isiah Thomas describes shoot like putting his hand in a cookie jar and then taking it back out. The most important part about shooting after you figure out how to miss only long or short is the get the feeling of the perfect form. you just have to keep shooting. just like driving of the tee. you get a right 2 or 3 times in a row and it feels so good you cant forget.

I had the same problem J.J. and you just got to keep shooting like that till you get it. Eventually it will come naturally and you'll do fine.
