Why do they hate each other so much? Its a rivalry game that Colorado always loses.

Because they are in the same conference and in their prime it was one of these two who would represent the Big 12 North in the Conference Championship. Usually it was the team who won the game between the two who would move on. It probably helps that the states are next too each other and they probably try to recruit the same prospects.

It's a big rivalry but it does not compare to Auburn vs Alabama or FSU vs Miami. The best and classiest rivalry has to be Army vs Navy.
