The truth is, our nation is not a true democracy. We're a republic. There's a difference.

A lady once asked Benjamin Franklin, as he was coming out of the constitutional convention, "What have you given us?"

To which Franklin replied, "A republic, madam, if you can keep it."

You cannot be a true democracy or a free representative republic and maintain imminent domain.. private property rights must remain unassailable or you just have another dictatorship of tryants
