or will they take it back and reclaim that which they have built over the decades?

Once again - neo-con, racist, pro Vietnam Dems that fled to the repu party in the 70s. They got Ray-gun elected and support big government, big deficits, and military conflict is always their first choice to resolve an issue

I was a Republican. But I just had to give up on them and re-register with the Democrats. I did so loudly and publicly. It's one helluva lot easier to be a conservative Dem than it is to be a Repub and put up with the accusations of being too "librul", you know, things like honoring the Bill of Rights, and believing in personal freedom. Things like that are tough for the neo-cons to take.

No I dont feel trapped. I vote for whoever I feel best represents my beliefs.
I have never registered with a party. Yea there are a few times I would have liked to vote in a primary but so what.
Every election I find my best candidate and vote for them.
Now when it comes to president I guess in that respect we can get trapped a bit.
You know a third party candidate might make it as a representative, probably wont as a senator and certainly wont as president. So then sometimes it comes down to the lesser of the evils situation.
But only a fool votes straight party line.

I'm a former bush supporter, and to be honest from the amount of corruption there is now. I only feel obligated to overthrow the whole corrupt system. yeah, I'm probably going to be labeled an enemy combatant now. But that's what needs to be done. The republicans and democrats have completely merged into one party. that serves only their corporate masters. It's digesting and I'm ashamed I voted for worm even once.

The corporate machine is so obvious now. your new president has already been chosen. it's Rudy Giuliani, he has all the big money connections. and he will be trumped as an American hero, for going to all the funerals. Do you really think a black man or a women have a chance? they are just there for decoration. they are a red Herring. Police state Rudy is coming! Police state Rudy is coming!

Give me Liberty or give me a torture cell in gitmo!

Bush vetoed the Americans liberty he just hasn't enacted it yet.

Bush the Freedom repulser, enemy of America and all Americans

Good luck and God Bless.

It wont matter. Neocons will switch sides as soon as the next president is elected, from the Democratic Party.

No, true conservatives know the difference between supporting a party and supporting their own philosophy.

I still have yet to figure out why people who hate Bush assume that everyone around them hates him too. When they find out some one likes him they are completely amazed. I will end the controversy here and now. There ARE people who like Bush...a lot of them. Get used to it. And don't worry, he'll be out soon enough. Just calm down a little. Stop freaking out.

My godfather is a true republican and I can gaurantee you that he feels no obligation to support the ambushed neo-con party abomination.

I for one am sick of the greedy, meddling pro-israel neocons, and I'm glad we have a word for them now so we don't have to keep calling them "those goddamn Jews". People were using it as an excuse to call us antisemitic.
