Look at the people around you. Read the news. Honestly, look in a mirror sometime. Everyone on a daily basis is somewhat decietful. People feel inclined to do this because to be honest with people often makes them irritated (really all people want in life is to feel valued and when someone disagrees they pull away instinctavly) so most people lie and chat to stay on top.
Which sucks, by the way, but then, that's life. Humans are imperfect creatures.
