I'd be 90 years old. My family knows that my days of going to Yankee Stadium are dwindling, so they take me for one last time. They manage the best seats in the house - by the dugout right next to the Mayor. I get hit right between the eyes with a screaming line-drive off the bat of the Yankee's newest phenom. I die on the spot. The Yanks are moved by the event and win 39-0 over Boston. The Yankee organization obviously feels deep sorrow at the passing of their biggest fan, so they shower my great-grandchildren with gifts and give all of my descendents lifetime season tickets.
Not that I've thought this all out or anything like that.

On a New York subway so that all the newspapers can print articles about how long my discovery took (I'm hoping for a couple of days).
Or maybe in the act of saving a bus full of nuns and children.
Or perhaps in a scuba suit in the middle of a inland forest fire, so that I can prove an urban legend.

Wide awake, in as little pain as possible. I don't want to miss a thing. I think of death as a new adventure. But I am in no hurry. As Robert Frost said "I have miles to go before I sleep."
