Yeah, this is a serious question. What complications can occur from this?

Well, uh, other than a medical analysis of possible mental impairment, she should be alright. I'd suggest taking her to a doctor demanding on the quantity of ingested staples. Stomach acid and the regular digestive cycle should break them down.

Either way, it not something to risk because crapping out staples would hurt. A Lot.

Simple.... GO TO THE DOCTOR/ HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY!!!! What are you asking us for and why haven't you taken her to the doctor already.... internal bleeding is serious and most likely what will occur. the better question would be... Why is your girlfriend eating staples in the first place. If you love her get her to a doctor!!!!

Well, I think that she may have problems in her life.
If she is eating staples, then that shows that something isn't right.
I like her.
Sounds... out there.
As for your complications... bleeding, tearing... death. Pretty serious yeah.

well, they could tear up her throat and digestive system--stomach, intestines, colon...she'll probably poop em out. But, she DEFINITELY needs to see a doctor to get this checked out...and, it sounds like she has some psychological problems if she ate them purposely, so she should see a doctor for that reason too. good luck. definitely encourage her to seek help.

Well if they get caught on anything internally they could cause rips and tears. I would call ER and ask them what to do about this.

Good news, her stomach acid will probably delete them.

Go to the hospital to make sure.

did she chew them up first? if so..no worries..they'll come out when she has her next bowel movement. Otherwise..she might suffer from internal bleeding and possible bowel obstruction.
