I can throw a ball nearly 50 yards but i throw quite a few wild balls when i throw hard. i like QB cos i can see out of pocket and shrug off smaller rush. however alot of people told me to play d-line or line backer. I don't think i have enough lateral speed to play LB or the moves to use on o line if im rushing. the prob with QB is the lateral movement (its safe to say im not michael vick) but i often get the job done. should i change position becasue i have been told i don't have natural skills to be a top echelon QB at a college level. i'm 18 in a week what do i do.?

Small forward.

It's a myth you need to be athletic to play basketball. You need to be in good shape so you can run up and down the court, but do you remember Vlade Divac???? Talk about uncordinated. I'd stick with basketball. You can have a longer career. And the minimum salaries are higher in the NBA.

Otherwise, you need to gain some weight for the NFL.

You would make an offensive tackle, or if you are fast a defensive end. If you are fast and have good hands a tightend.

If you throw wild you will have a hard time being a QB, that and you are way too heavy. In college you won't be able to shake of tacklers like you currently do. You are too heavy for a LB too.

Playing quarterback is more about just throwing the ball. There is (or at least is supposed) to be a certain amount of intelligence involved. Fullback might not be out of the question, tight end could be a shot. If you can catch and are fast, your a great receiver mold. If your agile and quick enough, you'd have scouts drooling to put you at the corner spot. The D-line might be out of range. The linebacker or strong safety spots are good possibilities as well.

You seem to be a good size for outside pass rusher or Defensive End. DEs have to be tall to see over the offensive line and especially the tall OTs, or it malkes things easier for you to see the qb or the rb. You also don't have to be as quick for lateral movement or as fast for a DE as compared to a lb. If not this position, then perhaps, TE, as long as you can block fairly well and catch.

An accurate 6'8" QB would be a coach's dream. I guess you need to try to get appointments to try and talk with coaches at colleges you might be interested in attending. Get their assessment. Skills can be improved with practice and concentration. I really wish you good luck, I hope you make it as a QB, it would be great to see you play!

Never seen or heard of a QB that tall. I guess the best skilled offensive position you would be best at is Tight End.

At 6'8, ever consider basketball.

Ill tell you this much, schools will slobber all over a 6'8" qb. I think you need to get your weight down to about 230/240. and work on your arm strenght. that is if you want to be a qb.

Or you could be a tight end. big target. if you want to play defense, youneed to be fast fast fast

even though you enjoy playing QB you want to consider a position change in order to help you get to the next level. at your size college coaches would be drooling over you if you could play tackle or defensive end. you might even be able to play TE if you have the foot speed. keep your options open if you want to get to the next level.

sounds like you have the makings of a good tight end, or if you have a nice burst of speed off the ball maybe defensive end...at 18 I would suppose youre out of high school...if not ask your school coach...
