I would be home by myself resting on the couch and can hear them walk in front of the couch open my eyes and nothing is there i see the outline of a woman go down my hallway into the spare bedroom out of the corner of my eye. The light will come on by itself and tv will turn up full blast things like that. It has never tried to harm us it moves things around in our house too i did catch a picture of a woman setting in my bathtub one night i know it sounds crazy but it's the truth anyone else ever have this to deal with or know anything about this type thing? I would appreciate any suggestions or helpful hints on this matter

I have lived in several "haunted" houses in my younger years. You might be what is called a "sensitive", someone who notices this kind of activity more so than the average person would.

If nothing sinister is happening, then it is best just to cohabitate peacefully. But if your sleep gets disturbed, or your dreams start to get nightmarish, then it is time to confront the entity or entities and set up boundaries.

When the hair on the back of my neck would raise up and my ears would start ringing, I would just say, "okay bub, it's time to back off please!" When I could not find my keys (a favorite game they liked to play with me) I would just say, "okay bub I give up, where did you hide them?" They would turn up almost immediately!

I had a rule that electronic things were off limits. They pretty much kept away from those things. I think the reason they were so accommodating had to do with my recognition that they existed, that they were real.

Another rule I had was no touching. That is an important one.

Good luck with your ghost!

Seek therapy.
It's funny how there are over 6 billion working cameras on the planet (according to a 2006 survey), yet there still isn't one real picture of a ghost or alien...hmmmm, amazing.
If you're seeing things then you should see a therapist, and to help yourself you can do online searches from Harvard's numerous studies on the paranormal.
Most any person on the planet will see things "out of the corner of their eye". This is because of the way the human eye works, not because you have a spectral visitor. When it's dark have you ever noticed that you can see things more clearly if you use your peripheral vision? Well, this has to do with your night vision, but this same type of vision can play tricks on you at other lighting levels. This is different in a case by case situation due to people's different visual capabilities.
As for the TV doing weird things? Many people are just scared of things in general and don't realize that TV's can do many different things when they have problems...again, this is not a ghost! My aunt's TV was scaring her to death because it would turn on or off by itself, and so she also thought her house was haunted. But the fact was that TV's have capacitors which store electricity so if they are malfunctioning they can, if the circumstances are right, turn themselves on due to a power discharge. The TV repair man that I sent to her house explained this to her after replacing 2 parts. The TV hasn't done anything like that since.
As for sounds of "walking"....houses make noises when the temperature changes. This is called physics...not metaphysics! As the temp and humidity in a house changes, then metal and wood that it is made out of will expand and contract depending on conditions. Again, not a ghost, just your overactive imagination. As wood contracts in the night after a long day of warmer temps, it may contract slowly in different directions. And the wood, or metal, will make noises as it does so....and when it happens in a particular direction in intervals it can fool you into thinking that someone is "walking".
Your problem isn't ghosts, but rather life happening all around you that you've never taken the time to educate yourself about.
It's also funny that "death by ghost attack" has never appeared on an autopsy.
Sleep better tonight...it's amazing what a smidgeon of education can do for you isn't it?

My dad's family has an old house that was once a stagecoach stop. A Confederate supposedly killed a black man over his appraisal of a white woman's behind. The Confederate threw the guy's body into the well in front of the house.
My GreatGreat Aunt lived in the house even after her husband and son killed themselves there (until 1986). Aunt Hattie often told stories about 'something' dragging her up the stairs.
The living family members cannot sell the house because potential buyers feel something scary when they view the house.
Do I want the house when my Dad dies?
No way.
I believe that there are spirits who do not want to move on.

Some people might think you're crazy but I don't. I'm convinced that there used to be a ghost in my parents house. It seemed to communicate with my sister the most. When we were younger her toys would get moved around to places we knew we hadn't left them. We think it's a male ghost because of this one night in particular; my sister and I were watching a movie on TV and it kept changing to a sports channel. At first, we thought the channel button on the remote was stuck but the channel changed in both directions (I know that's a little oddly worded but I don't know how else to put it). We were both getting a litte annoyed and my sister all of a sudden yelled Stop! and it stopped. Also, musical things in the house would go off by themselves. My mom's old bank which only plays when a coin is dropped in went off many times at all hours. And me and my sisters stereo would turn on by itself (even when there were no batteries in the remote). And on numerous occasions, our alarm clock would go off when it wasn't set, not go off when it was set, or go off at the wrong times. He never harmed us and I don't know what happened to our ghost. When my sister moved out these things pretty much stopped (all except for the bank thing-he must have really liked that tune). I'm moved out now too and whenever I visit nothing strange happens now (not even the bank thing) and my mom hasn't noticed anything strange. It's a mystery.

Try leaving out some shallow bowls with a little balsamic vinegar in them. This is supposed to make it hard for ghosts to manifest and effect our physical world. The theory is that ghosts' bodies are etherial, which is a spiritual kind of matter, and since vinegar is good and thinning out the ether they have trouble doing anything around it.

sometimes ghosts are attracted to an item that used to be theirs... such as something simple like a ring or a picture or piano. or the house is something they love and want to stay in the house for eternity.

and sometime spirits dont want to leave and they are less active when the house is put to the way it was before. if it was the way before sometimes less activity will happen. renovation will sometimes cause them to get upset and to be more active

also having a priest come to your house to fix the problem wont always work. sometimes it will make the matter worse and theres no guarantee that the spirit will leave.

try this. paint the ceiling over your front porch baby blue. while your at it do it to your window panes also. that is an old gullah tradition. i also heard that you can place your shoes on the floor at the foot of your bed next to each other with one toe pointing to the east and the other to the west. if that doesnt work i would just ask them to leave. or tell them that this is your house and they need to leave.
