Every woman has her own natural odors that change throughout her cycle. I'm not sure about the fishy smell only during your periods, but you might mention it to your doctor. A strong fishy odor can indicate bacterial vaginosis or several other infections. They aren't really serious unless the infection is left untreated for a long time.

It's probably nothing but if it's worrying you then you should definitely mention it to your doctor!

If you wear a pad and do not change it frequently, the smell can be very similar to fish. Make sure you change it regularly and shower twice a day while on your period. Tampons are much more convenient, and you don't have to worry about the smell!

Don't be stupid, it smells much worse than fish. It is the smell of human blood. Horse and Deer blood smells really bad too. You just happen to very sensitive to it. Most people never notice it. When guys notice, it generally really turns them on and they don't even know it.

That's not normal. Try washing more often during that time. Make sure you get every little crack and crevice. Keep it as dry as possible. Switch to tampons if you can will definitely help prevent odor, and change it every few hours. If you can't make sure you change your pad pretty often. Use some wipes(feminine or baby wipes) through out the day to freshen up. Try sprinkling some cornstarch powder in your panties. You can also try using scented pads or tampons, or pantyliners. There's also feminine deodorant spray you can use for that time of the month.
Good Luck.

The smell is from old blood being passed. Smells like old tuna, doesn't it?
Have you tried tampons? They help eliminate odors.

You should not smell when you have your period. If you do then something is going on that needs to be checked out by the doc. This is NOT NORMAL. See a doc and find out what is going on.
