The humidity is set to 5 % in my home. There is so much water accumilated that it spills over and runs down my walls.

its condensation. sounds like you dont have double pane windows. insulated windows will cure it. not the humidity setting. had the problem, it cured mine.

We have the same problem in our apt.--aluminum instead of wood around the windows. We tried a dehumidifier and it worked great. The only problem for us was it's a small apt. and it heated it up instead. We did get a lot of water and were forever dumping it, so it did do the job. Give it a try and good luck. I know how annoying it is.

Reset the humidstat to about 35-40 percent. It takes about 24 hours for it to readjust. If you still have to much condensation, set the numbers higher.

If it is a new home run the bathroom exhaust fan about 1 hour per day to remove the moisture. older hame you may need to caulk the windows to seal them

I suggest you shut off you humidifier completely, when and if I started getting shocked, and the furniture started creaking, then turn it back on as low as possible. I believe you hemostat is stuck or broke. But that will let you test it.

Measure your space in each room and multiply that by 1.7 and set your thermosat to 30% of the Sum.
