Why does everyone hate Bush for the war in Iraq? What did you expect us to do? Let Saddam and his sons, torture, rape, and kill, their own people? And I know that many Americans soldiers have died. My best friend's husband died. But does that mean i am anti-war? No! America has been and still is known for stepping in and fighting for other countries. Thats who we are. We help people. What is so wrong with that?

Sheeple People who refuse to accept the fact that the Bush administration Orchestrated the Terror Attacks of 911 are just plain ignorant. It's impossible for Jet fuel or Kerosene to melt iron...LOOK AT THE PERIODIC TABLE OF ELEMENTS. Also if the floors collapsed causing a chain reaction it would have taken well over 90 seconds for the buildings to come down. They came down at free fall speed....9 seconds. There is no logical argument here. Explosives were pre-planted in the building. Case closed! Why are so many people having a hard time accepting this?

Everyone doesn't hate Bush, in fact few if anyone outside the Islamic population on the planet hate Bush. After 9/11 a military response was the only option. Debate and justification aside, we are at war, and that war needs to be won. Even liberal Democrats understand a redeployment of our troops out of Iraq will not end the war we are currently engaged in. They just differ with Bush on how it should be fought.

The enemy the U.S. is fighting isn't just going to quit fighting because Bush is out of office an replaced by a Democrat. The American people must understand the rest of the world doesn't just stop spinning because some politicians leave office in the U.S. Bush may well have started an unjust war in Iraq, but he will be kicking back on his ranch while some other politician finishes it for him.

I just hope it's an American politician who ends the war. If Putin nukes the U.S. for threatening Iran, even if it is a nuke to take out our three carrier groups, the whole planet could go up. Being anti-war or pro-war is irrelevant, war is here regardless. The sooner Americans understand that and stop the Republicans from stealing all the funding intended for the troops, the sooner we can win it and get our troops back from the Middle East.

well... on the surface... there is nothing wrong with that...

but, I don't like being lied too... from WMD, to how long the war would take, to how much it would cost... just a little honesty... and if you don't know... say "I don't know" instead of saying something the people will like... which is exactly what Bush and his Admin did before the war...

the othere clear issue here is... why this dictator and why now? quite a few more people were dying at the time in Darfur than Saddam has been killing in the past 10 or so years on average... and there is always N. Korea, Iran and or course many other dicatorships throughout Africa, Asia and South America... and most are just as brutal and dangerous...

I don't know why we picked Iraq and not any of those others?

and I don't hate Bush... but I don't understand his actions based on what he's given as his motivations...

and soldiers lives are worth getting heated over... more so than most things Americans get heated over...

The vast majority of people who say they hate Bush simply use Bush as the focus of their hostilities towards the half of Americans who disagree with them on most major fundamental issues.

America has never been so torn on so many basic prinicipals as it is today. Even at the time of the Civil War only two or three major disagreements existed. Today, there are two dozen solid differences, dramatic differences, between left-leaning beliefs, and right-leaning beliefs.

Bush is seen as the head of the right, and so he gets the wrath. When he is gone, someone else will get the hate.

The left is too dang disorganized to ever find one particular individual to dislike the most. But if they win the Presidency, that person will become the focus of detest from the half of Americans that will vote for the other (right-wing) contender.

Besides that, Bush sets himself up for ridicule. He is a terrible public speaker.

I don't think "Everyone hates Bush for the war in Iraq." However, I do think many have come to realize that we have no business there. When will enough be enough? An eye for an eye is one thing... but a few million for a few thousand is just selfish and power hungry at our own expense, and I think the people have spoken that we no longer agree with the bloodshed.

And, as far as your specific statements, I would check your facts about torture, rape, and murder... because as far as I am concerned, our very OWN government rapes, tortures, and kills its OWN people but hides behind words like "religion", "God", "FDA regulations" and "Patriotic". America really needs to use whatever dignity it has left to take care of its OWN for once, before our so called Leaders get us all killed.

So I say... forget throwing around words like HATE, because that's what got us in this mess in the first place. And for the record, I have never known of anyone who classified "Helping people" as blowing them and their cities up then simply saying "oops..."

Not everyone there are a few Bush supporters out there. But by and large, nearly everyone disagrees with (or "hate") Bush for the war in Iraq. Unfortunately the issue I have with Bush and his supporters is that virtually nothing Bush has said about our reasons for going to War in Iraq were true. Many Bush supporters have short-term memory only. You are stating that Bush went to war to help the people of Iraq. That is a load of crap! I refer you the link below in which Bush outlined his reasons for seeing Iraq as a threat 2002/2003. He stated Iraq (Saddam) was making chemical and biological weapons in direct opposition to the UN order that came after the Persian Gulf War. He stated that Saddam was harboring terrorists and had links to Al-Qaeda and possibly Sept. 11th. There are many other dictators in the world inficting harm on their own people but America is not militarily involved. Hell, there are hundreds of thousands of Africans that have been killed (and millions displaced) over in Da Fur region of western Africa. Bush has been relatively silent on this issue and US military help is non-existent! I'm sorry for your friend's lost, but Bush's arrogance has gotten America entangled in an "arabian quagmire". America can't leave because the country would splinter and terrorist organizations would establish camps in Iraq. The recruiting arm of Al-Qaeda would be stronger due to the re-newed hatred of America. And Iran could extend its presence into parts of Iraq with Shia majorities and become even stronger.

p.s. Dont' be fooled! America looks out for its own interests. Even when World War II was going on, America remained neutral while the Holocaust was happening. It was only until Japan attacked Pearl Harbor that America entered the conflict.

The Iraqi people did not ask us to save them.

Our soldiers were on an important mission hunting down the 9/11 terrorists.

They were not in Iraq, they were in Pakistan.

They are still not in Iraq and they are still in Pakistan.

We are only creating more and more potential terrorists in Iraq.

Nothing in Iraq has to do with our freedom and Iraq has never been a credible threat to American interests.

How do conservatives get off saying sending the military to fight for nothing and without a plan is supporting the troops?

Any president who, even after it became evident that the justifications for war were mistaken, continues to pursue the war and allow our good troops to be maimed and killed so the politicians can save face deserves derision.

There are many things "wrong with that". Suppose you are right that we went in to remove a brutal dictator (that we helped to kill his people, and that we helped stay in power when it was convenient for us).
One thing "wrong with that" is that it is against international treaties that WE signed that promised not to start a war unless we were being attacked.
What if Russia or China started a war against us to remove Bush because his ignorance of the 9/11 warnings caused 3000 deaths in that tragedy, his poor management of FEMA caused 1000+ deaths during Katrina, his tax breaks for the rich caused the rest of us to live more poorly. ALl of these could be considered justification for Russia to come in and FIGHT FOR US!

Everyone hates Bush for the war in Iraq for countless reasons. Yes Saddam did kill and let his sons kill and rape, but has the American invasion and occupation been any better? Countless more Iraqis have been killed under American rule than under Saddam's rule. Beheadings, torture, murder, kidnappings, destruction... all have taken place on a much greater magnitude under the "Coalition" forces.

And yes, American has stepped in and fought for other countries... in WWI and WWII. Vietnam, Central America, the Philippines, Guam, Puerto Rico... the list goes on and on in instances where American has acted like the British Empire.

It is regrettable, but understandable, why everyone hates Bush.

If we were indeed helping other people I would feel the same. If we were indeed fighting terrorism I would feel the same sadly this isn't true. Look into the company Haliburton and look into the publication called Project for a new american century co authored by Dick Cheney in 2000,many things written then are coming to pass.
Enlighten yourself.
