most of the ones coming here have around 3rd grade or lower education.
Besides, our government caters to their whims. Just like Florida got taken over by Cuba, California by Mexico, ....so the rest of the country will eventually fall to the mexican invasion.

We should either learn their language, or Canadian...eh?

That is a broad, sweeping statement that doesn't actually apply to many of the Mexicans here in the US. There are indeed some who don't feel the need to learn English, and I think that is wrong because they should since they are living in an English-speaking country.

However, there are, at the same time, many who are making every effort to learn English. It is narrow-minded people...por ejemplo tu...who slow down and hinder the process because they lack patience and understanding regarding the language-learning process.

Try being inserted right into France, or Italy, or Brazil and being immediately forced to learn French, Italian, or Portugese. You have to learn it because you are living there, but it is a process,, one that takes time and patience.

Open your eyes and your mind.

I'm Hispanic and I'm with you on this one.

At work, I'm bilingual. Sometimes I struggle with Spanish, because I learned it as an adult. When I struggle and put people on Mute (I can hear them but they can't hear me), sometimes they voice their frustrations to someone on their end that I should know how to speak Spanish if I'm gonna be on the phone. EXCUSE ME????? HELLO?????? Look, I work city government. GOVERNMENT, and this broad gets upset 'cause I can't cater to HER???? She's got a problem.

If you come here, get with the program and learn English.

Some people live in communities where everyone and their abuelita (Grandma) speaks exclusively Spanish. We have Spanish goods and services for everything... banks, telephone operators, magazines, newspapers, television, radio, you name it, we have a Spanish version of it. Entire communities live this way, never learning English, so they remain poor. There are even businesses owned and operated by people who don't speak a lick of English. HUH???? No wait, something is definitely wrong here.

There needs to be a stronger, and more positive motivation in the Hispanic community to get ALL of its members to learn English. How? I don't know. For starters, all citizenship tests should be given in ENGLISH ONLY. Same for driver's license tests. Sometimes they're in Spanish, Korean, whatever. BIG DUMB MISTAKE! Traffic signs are in English, a-duhhh! And if one wants to vote in this country, they should be able to at least speak in this country.

One need not become a scholar in the English language. However, they should learn to communicate using basic conversation skills. My dad ain't no scholar, he learned English on the streets and by watching I Love Lucy. Really! But even he told me that EVERYONE in this country needs to learn English. Otherwise, they will live a life of poverty.

True, we get much of the uneducated Mexican peasant community who are illiterate and unskilled. Mexicans who are educated with marketable skills who can make a decent living for themselves don't need to come here, capisce? I don't know what we're gonna do with so many unskilled laborers who don't speak English. The solution is bigger than what I can think up.

However, still, learn English. Even a word a week, learn English. COME OOONNN.

P.S. As for those who think they're taking this country back and they don't wanna learn English, this is another way of saying they're too damn lazy to learn English. Let's call it what it is.

Because our politicians put up signs in Spanish. They provide voting material in Spanish.

The problem is with our politicians, not the Mexicans.

Actually some do, and some doesn't. The reason is practical: there are so many Spanish speakers around and they are so close to their homeland that they don't have to spak English to continue their lifes. It was different with German or Slovenian speakers.
