i watched it a long time ago when i was only 7 or 8 and i can't remember what it was called. i think it was about a girl whose brother goes missing and he turns out to be a dolphin or something. it was strange.

It's a fantasy movie, the story centers around the legend of a "selkie", which is a seal that can turn into a human, and the boy has become one. It's a really good movie.

There is no movie called Island Of The Lost Dolphin... there is a movie called Island Of The Blue Dolphins that's based on a book of the same name. It's an old movie, and a wonderfully classic book, that would definitely have been appropriate for a 7 or 8 year old.

If your referring to the movie where a woman's husband goes missing and turns into a Dolphin then your thinking of "the Incredible Mr. Limpit" with Don Knotts. In the Movie Mr. Limpett falls into the water and turns into a Dolphin and it goes to cartoon. Not a bad movie for kids.
