I'm 36 weeks and 3 days and had my doctor to tell me the same thing today. It means at any time your cervix can start to dialte and thin out. Your ready when the baby is ready! congrats there is nothing u can do now but wait it out.

It means that your cervix is not yet preparing for birth. You will not be going into labor until the cervix begins to ripen and dilate. However, a cervix is know to change in a matter of hours, so don't worry--you will not be pregnant forever.

it mean your ready to go!!!!! once the cervix is soft all it has to do is thin and dilate. then well you'll have your baby. good luck
