Personally I think whether you are an optomist or a pessimist is ingrained and pretty hard to change, one thing I have heard is that being grateful increases your optimism and happiness, so everytime you wake up think of 5 things you are grateful for.

I am an eternal optomist. My quote? "the difference between a flower and a weed is judgement"

ps i believe the best and always seem to get it. so perhaps it is cyclic...be optomistic, see things in a better light so take more opportunities, get more good things, etc.

not sure of what kind of optimism you want but:

-i'll face the agony in my heart in a secret form
-when life gives you lemons, make apple juice and leave life to figure out how you did it
-some mistakes are too fun to make only once
-most people want to be the sun that brightens up your life, but i'd rather be the moon that shines down on you in your darkest hours
-in a world of cheerios, i'd be a fruitloop

these are just some that i collected.
here's something to play with:
everyday, i reach a new level of boredom

"Nothing in life is impossible"

"If you truly believe in something you can make it happen"

This is for all the negativity you would face in life...take it this way..

As long as you do your share right, you have nothing to to regret (when you look back in life)..may it be a relationships, work, etc. Do your share and let the world figure out the rest.

This is my favorite quote...I'm not sure if it's what you're thinking as far as optimism goes, but I think it's beautiful.

"Life is not measured by the breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away."

In helping me keep a positive outlook on life & to keep me in good spirits I tell myself, "Don't worry about the small stuff." & "What ever happens happens for a reason, It's God's plan." "Accept it & move on".
