I am planning to move sometime within the next year and I am just trying to see which places in New Mexico have relatively low apartment rates but are also safe areas to live in.

Yes, Melrose is a cheap, safe place. So is Clovis and Portales.

There are small towns in the Silver City area where it's dirt cheap to live there. Silver City itself isn't very expensive either.

Las Cruces isn't that expensive but it's higher than the small towns and some parts of town are safer than others.

it fairly is an ok place, many human beings say mexixo is a corrupt united states and the police do no longer care. this is generally actual in Northern Mexico the place maximum are notably recommend human beings yet no longer all. Even in Mexico they sing songs approximately how undesirable Northern Mexico is. mandatory and Southern mexico is the place you will discover the friendliest human beings. Cancun, Guanajuato, Guadalajara. Baja California are actual intense-high quality places and a few areas in Mexico city. yet Mexixo is incredibly like the U. S. in the early 1900 or perhaps in the Wild West. Gangs working a muck and the Mafia. it fairly is a similar in Mexico yet slightly worse

My cousin lived in Melrose. It was a small town and all the people out there were great. I told my cousin when I retire I want to move out there. Heck buy a house out there for $40K that's a sweet deal. Oh yeah they have a small restaurant/tire store there that has the best Green Chile Hamburgers, I'd love a few of them right now.
