Worth the $100 start up kit Yes, if you like the product. I have been selling Mary Kay for three years and I love it. I'm sure you are going to get lots of opinions some good some bad but isn't that way with any job. You have to get all the facts and decide for yourself. I get so annoyed when I hear people say they were talked into it or talked into buying inventory. It's your choice get the facts and ask lots of questions.

It all depends. A good way to look at it is to make a list of all the ppl you know and think of whether or not they would hold a party/purchase from you. If you find more no's than yes's then not such a good idea. Also, how timid are you? Are you comfy walking up to strangers and telling them about your business and asking them if they would like to hold a party? This is a self made business and you can do well if you think outside the box and go for it... On the other hand, it could be a waste of time and money too.

My sister got into it but only cause her mother in law was one and my sister felt bad for her and said she would sell with her, My sister's neighbour on the other hand sells Avon and makes a killing then my sister because Avon is not as expensive and who doesn't like Avon? even my sister gets Avon from her neighbour lol. I say it depends on the person and the investment. with Mary kay you have to invest a lil but Mary kay does have excellent makeup but i like cheaper nice makeup rather then spend a small fortune on Mary Kay. Still i know someone who made a killing on Mary Kay on my reserve (i am native american and i am from a once oil rich reserve) And that person met Mary Kay herself when she was alive! ofcourse selling on the oil rich reserve helped her some! lol . Goodluck on all your endevours.

Yes...It depends on how you get the product "out there" simply selling it to friends and family will not make a ton of money. My cousin got into it and went way overboard, now she has a garage full of mary Kay and....No one to buy it...

It depends on how much time you want to invest. My mom was a director for a couple of years and she really liked it and made money at it.

She only left to pursue full time ministry.

Good luck!

it depends on how many people are in your area, and want to buy the products. i was considering becoming a representative, but i didn't want to shell out $100 for a starter kit or whatever, and the people in my town just buy avon or go to wal-mart, where you can find pretty much anything.
