All naps are good especially after learning. This is actually a new topic for experimentation. Researchers have shown that small naps taken after a learning experience will actually increase you memory retention. Meaning you will remember more of what you heard, read or studied.

The only downside to your 2-4 hour nap is that you will most likely not be tired enough to fall asleep at a descent hour at night.

I suggest a 1 hour nap maximum. This should help you re-gain your energy as well as help you retain you recently acquired information.

It's recommended that you nap for less than two hours. If you nap for more it can actually make you more tired and groggy. Plus to top it off you'll have a harder time getting to bed. A nap between 1 and 2 hours is supposed to be enough to help you feel energized again.

NO! NO! NO! If you nap for that long in the day you will be too stimulated to go to sleep that night and it will keep your body in a sleep-state for the rest of the day....so just go to bed earlier - like 8:00 or something, but plan to sleep the whole night ;)

2 hours doesn't sound bad, but if you sleep 4 hours you may have trouble sleeping at night. This starts a vicious cycle...

I don't see a problem with it. I do that occasionally when i'm bored and have nothing else to do.
