How would you feel if you were with your husband or wife for five years, with a one year old child and then he had to leave for one year like your life never existed?

Sad and stressed.
The good news is that he will be back
And absence does make the heart grow fonder.
Think of the person that's leaving and won't get the opportunity to see their son or daughter grow, their first steps or words.
Difficult on everyone but sometimes we have to play the cards we are dealt.
Use the family's support as well as friends and keep the faith that he will return safe and sound.

Hey, I would definitely feel sad or angry. it depends on the reason why he/she is leaving. I am going through a situation similar to that right now. My fiance is in another state and I am nine months pregnant about to have his child. I feel alone, I feel deserted but I know that there's a good reason for this and this was the only thing that we could do. I also look forward to being with him when he gets settled in our new home. So I guess it would depend on why he was leaving. If the abscence benefitted the both of you and your child, I would be sad but I would also be understanding. I wouldn't be argumentative about it and I wouldnt stress about what he was doing. You guys have five years together and I wouldn't want to jeopardize those good years for one year of being seperated. Try 20 years of marriage, never been split apart, and leaving for a new job in Alabama without you, not coming home but 2 days a month.
Sad....lost, and like my best friend is leaving me.....and most of all, hoping I can cope with the lonliness....

is his leaving within his control? is he in the military and going overseas?
if he is leaving physically, will you still be able to talk to and communicate with him?
I would feel sad, a true sense of loss and unfairness...but I would also have to think about y he was was leaving...if it was to serve his country, I would be very proud of him. If it was to serve a jail term, it would probably be a good time to move on (different values)
y do u feel like his leaving signifies that your life together never existed??? I think you need to sit down and talk to him...I am sure he is going to miss you to!

My husband was killed in an accident. He left me without wanting to go. Leaving for a year is a cakewalk. Be grateful, because he will be back.

I would feel like something is missing. My husband is also my best friend so who would I talk to and confide in. I would miss laughing with him and just him being around.

had to leave for one year? Is it a job or military duty; or did he just book? Depending on the situation, if he just left--I'd say he doesn't deserve your love and for you to spend less focus on him, and more on what you want for your child and yourself.

I wont wanna be part from him therefore I will also follow wherever he goes for i cant be staying without seeing him.Perhaps you could follow your husband too.

If he had to leave for work,then that is just life,but if he is leaving you,then i guess it would hurt pretty bad!Been there & done it & it hurts so bad you want to die!
