The neocons (American Enterprise Institute) wrote many papers before Bush was even running for office about Democratizing the middle east for the sole purpose of controlling the oil resources. This is not bull. these were real papers written by AEI.

THE GOAL FROM THE BEGINNING IS TO CONTROL THE OIL.
If you have Democracies it is easy to control the country.

They came to the conclusion that it is easier to install (fake) democracies then to have the cia execute leaders and install dictators. The CIA and US government put saddam in power
they gave him the go ahead to invade Kuwait. He tried to negoiate out of it. I think they were trying to pull it off back then.

We installed Saddam and then used him. Anyone who thinks not needs to quit watching fox news and read a little bit.

1st priority is the nukes. 2nd is the missiles. 3rd is the regime. Hopefully, we will acheive all 3.

I see it as Bush wanting another War so that we can test some new military tech.

I see it as Iran's leader's last gasp to keep themselves in power. Their country is starting to whisper of discontent, and having a unified enemy is something that will keep them in power longer.

It's not inevitable. I don't see any goals we can accomplish there.
