I would think that that is the best reply a person could give. I cannot imagine being in that position, and on that stage, and saying "thank you" is the best, most humble, and non-selfish reply I can think of.

I would think they were foolish. People work to have their names put out there. Reputation is everything in that industry, and if you don't mention a person it could be perceived as an insult.
