What I do is take up a bad habit the day before lent, and then I give it up. ;-)

I have given up lent for the last 13 years and have always been perfect at it, but then again, it does help that I'm not Catholic

haha, that is an awesome idea. but i dont think so. its kind of contradicting. if you give up lent then you are in fact participating in lent by giving up something.

l try not to eat meat on Wednesdays and Fridays. Abstinence is also good for the body. l do this even if it isn't Lent.
