Of course I dont want to build it with my hands. I just want to know how we can develope different building innovative components. For example we use bricks for walls, if we get some other technology like developing concrete or any other material slabes for walls and likewise some innovative roofing etc. I can guide masons and carpenters to follow the plan.

...hi... if I were [again] to build my own home, i would do it as i did the last one...get acquainted with my local lumber yard, builders supply outlet, and hardware stores....it is almost critical that some of the processes involved in the actual construction be hands on resolved, and face to face explanations were preferable to blue-prints, or advice, or instruction manuals.
But .. the computer screen wasn't then an option for me... Knowing what i know now about the computer, and considering what i know about stick construction, i am almost positive i would still go to the local resource outlets, if for no other reason than to establish a relationship with them, ...not all the intricacy's of building a 'home' are as cut and dried as they seem. A computer is amazing, but it isn't very inventive.

I would not suggest this!
Building a home is very complex and requires proficiency in many areas including, capentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.

I would not attempt this unless I had hands on experience in each area that I will need. Because when problems come up (and they do) you need the ability to overcome them and that takes expericence.

basically what I'm saying is book knowledge isn't enough, you need pratical experience also.

I would read on the internet, talk to professionals, take a couple courses at a college or tradeschool, and attend do it yourself lectures at places like home depot and lowes.

A lack of experience can and will cost more money!
