Without a washed up Pedro for the rest of the year. A 60 year old (Glavine) as their ace. His better days are behind him. A spotty Orlando Hernandez (who knows how old he is) as a #2 seeing doctors already. They better score some ton of runs. OK arms with the rest but all hit or miss. They sort of look like the Orioles to me, but the pitching isn't as good. They are lost.
Oh yeah, how much would they like to re-do that Victor Zambrano for Scott Kazmir deal now. TB has a better staff just on that.

In a nice way, YES. They have Glavine, and.......... thats it. Philadelphia could be your savior, they are offering their #2 ace on the team, Jon Lieber, as long as you give Philly what they want.(Billy Wagner , lol)

haha, yea, those mets have some issues right now, maybe they are hoping for a miracle to happen with their #1 and #2, highly unlikely, but I guess that's what they better hope for, otherwise they will be out of the season the first week. (Orlando is 38 btw, 3 years younger then Glavine) To make up for their lack of pitching they do have a pretty nice lineup, whether or not they will all show up and get those runs on the board, that is still yet to be found out. But there is no doubt about it, that the Mets have to almost fully rely on the batters.

I think that every team has a good pitching staff and you need to remember that the time for injuries is before the season gets under way that way the players that are injured have a better chance of healing quicker and the team has time to make the appropriate lineup adjustments and get the other players back in as they are healed and I think that is the problem with several teams is that they try to get the players to make a speedy recovery and put them back in for too long of a time after they just get back from the disabled list and the coaches and managers alike need to use their heads and make decisions based on the extent of the injury the players age and how often the player has been on the disabled list for the same injury.

Yes it does. With El Duque being diagnosed with Arthritis its getting worse as days go by. Glavine is probably into his last year especially if he hits 300 this year. It's not looking good for the Muts.

I'm going to have to agree with you...but with all the runs that they put up with a mediocre staff can work out...look at the cardinals?
