Nope...that sounds exactly perfect! Most doctors recommend 35 pounds..and so it sounds like you are exactly right! Good job! If you breast feed afterwards...you'll loose any excess wait quite quickly. I am an obgyn nurse of 14 years, and you should be proud of yourself...most of our patients don't stick that close to the "recommendations" so you're right on!

It is recommended a woman of average weight gain between 20 - 25 pounds. You have only gained 33. The extra eight pounds will fall off if you breast feed. If you do not breast feed, then you will be more active taking care of a newborn, so the weight will most likely fall off anyway. You have done well for yourself and your baby as baby's need their mothers to gain this weight to provide proper nutrition for them. Don't worry about it. Besides, Jenny McCarthy gained over sixty pounds!! Thirty-three is nothing compared to that....

Nope! You're doing awesome! I'm 39 weeks too and I've gained 42 pounds! I was 135 and now I'm 177!! Every woman is different, some gain 25lbs and some gain 60 lbs!

You're right on track!

That's great! I gained 35 pounds and I'm only an inch taller than you. And I lost almost all of it (that stubborn 5 pounds just won't go away). My friend gained over 100 pounds with her first! Took her almost two years of hard exercise and diet to finally get it off! You're doing absolutely wonderful though! Don't worry about it a bit!

doctors say 25-30 lbs. You sound about right to me. How far along are you would be good to know. But if you are near the end your right on target. My sister in law gained over 60 lbs. she might be about 5'2" or 5'3" and she is a small girl. it took her a year but she lost all her weight

I'm 5'3 1/2", and my pre-pregnancy weight is usually 110...my Dr. said i should gain 25-35 lbs! I am currently on my fourth pregnancy, and i can tell you in all honesty that with every prior pregnancy, i gained exactly 35 lbs., and have always lost it easily afterwards! You seem to be right on course! (Petite power!!!) Good luck to you!

NO ! You are around the area of about 30 lbs. This is what dr.s and dieticians like you to gain. so do not worry cuz you are almost there at the end and have a happy & healthy baby ..

sounds right on track. I bet because you were so thin to begin with that you'll have no problems losing the weight, I bet you'll be about 115 by the 2 week post pardum doctors visit. Congrats on your baby and good luck in labor!

the rule of thumb is 20 lbs but don't panic. Everyone is different, and don't stop eating. your body is telling you what you need and denying yourself could hurt your baby's development. But once you recover see a dietitian and work out like a crazy woman because your window of opportunity to snap back is alot shorter than you think.

no, that sounds about right. 20-30lbs is average, but if you are underweight or overweight it will be different. As long as it was healthy weight you shouldn't have a problem getting it off after you have your baby.
