I think Brohm will have a difficult time because he has to learn a new system and it will take time. Darren McFadden obviously would be the front runner based on the performance he had last year. Steve Slaton will not even be considered due to the style of ball they play and the fact he will be competing with Pat White on his own team. He will be considered a product of the WVU scheme. Also, he has fumbling problems. Booty will be considered just because he plays at USC. Mike Hart is a great player and team leader but it is rare for a Michigan RB to run for 1500 yards like he did this year. They share the load too much for him to have a shot. Brennan won't even be in New York because he goes to Hawaii. There are three sophmores who could make an impact, C.J. Spiller from Clemson, P.J. Hill from Wisconsin, and Colt McCoy from Texas. Don't be surprised if they are high on the list.

My Leading Candidates:
Louisville's QB Brian Brohm would've been a top candidate this last year had he not torn up his thumb and had his thumb wired half way into the season. Even without Bobby Petrino at the coaching helm in 07, I see a chance for heavy passing numbers with Kragethorpe and the QB centered offense he runs. He runs something similiar to Petrino's offense and Brohm is a smart kid, it won't take long for him to pick it up. So he's definitely in there granted he can stay healthy.
West Virginia's RB Steve Slaton AND QB Pat White will be up for the Heisman as well. And considering that the Mountaineers literally hand-off AND pass to Steve Slaton every other down, he'll get the numbers to be a frontrunner.
Arkansas's Darren McFadden will be in the running granted he can keep up with his consistancy from last year in a SEC that had at least half of it's teams post top 10 recruiting classes this year. If he can handle the wear and tear, he'll be a winner.
Hawaii's QB Colt Brennan will get a nod because playing in that conference he'll continue to put up astronomical numbers. But we all know the Heisman is about the best players on the "big" teams, so he's a dark horse.
Rutgers RB Ray Rice finished third in the nation in rushing and is returning for his junior season with the Scarlet Knights, hoping to build on their success in 06. With Schiano still at the helm, it's a safe bet this kid is just going to get better. I say he's in New York by the end of the year.
Dark Horses:
Texas's QB Colt McCoy was National Freshman of the Year as well as Big 12 Player of the Year. He'll be mentioned, maybe even invited to New York. But we also know how the Heisman voters frown upon the underclassmen.
Florida's QB Tim Tebow has some big shoes to fill, but the word is he's going to fill them just fine. He's a physical QB that can run it in as well as pass it and if you can keep your job with one of the best recruiting classes in the nation then you're no joke.
Kentucky's WR Keenan Burton finished in 15th, just two spots behind Calvin Johnson in the NCAA Receiving Yards as well as 12th in receptions this last year. I know you're thinking I'm nuts for mentioning a Kentucky player, but he gets the numbers even with a QB that spends most of his time on his back. Word is Kentucky will have better QB protection next year and look for Burton's numbers to increase when this happens.

A participant who indoors of reason ideal huge-unfold only spectacular acceptable now and happens to have a large 300 and sixty 5 days. even nonetheless i think of of Anthony Morelli, QB for Penn State must be the only spectacular participant this season, via fact he's a dropback passer taking on a collection that would have been undefeated very final season have been it no longer for a million 2d that grew to become into extra onto the clock indoors the Michigan interest, i do no longer think of of he can win the Heisman via fact Matt Leinart grew to become into the only spectacular participant each and all of the only spectacular 3 years and won it basically as promptly as and Reggie Bush grew to become into no longer heavily seen 2 years interior the previous on a similar time as he first quite hit the spotlight. available QBs which could win the Heisman are Croyle, Henne, and Leak. All 3 are rather ideal huge-unfold at this element. At RB, i think of of Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma could be a pacesetter. The Heisman will probable be a QB or RB.

either mcfadden or hart based on injuries. When u look at it michigan has 3 players that could possibly win the heisman, but they are nothing without a strong running game. mcfadden is a straight up beast, as for the rest of the candidates they have to see increased playing time to put up the numbers hart and and mcfadden will

I think that Mcfadden is the favorite, and Colt Brennan from Hawaii is also a possibility because he had such and unbelievable bowl game and the offense is built on the pass.

I'd have to say Brian Brohm. He's the most experienced, and from what I've seen of him and the others, the most talented. McFadden would be the definite front-runner next year, however, if he comes back.

I think its McFadden's to lose.
Watch out for Matt Ryann at BC, 1st team ACC and they are installing a pass happy offense returning most of the team.
