Do you REALLY think it was a good idea to give women the right to vote?

I personally wonder what the heck the American Congress and the state governments were thinking. I mean, I know not every state back then passed the amendment that gave women the right to vote but enough of them did to make it a law. To me its like giving little children the right to vote - it violates the natural heiarchy.

There are multiple ways to look at this question. John Adams said that women have enough control in men's lives to not need a right to vote. He also pointed out that the Constitution said all 'men' were equal. Now look at the question from a present-day American's point of view. We have become dependent on women for the sake of our nation's economy. WIthout women, not only would we be incapable of reproducing, but we would have to work double, perhaps triple, of our current productivity for our country to flourish. So, it really depends on your personal views.
