I think its generally accepted that nothing can travel at or past the speed of light.
It is true that the faster you are travelling through space, the slower time passes for you, BUT
as your velocity increases, your mass does as well, and if you obtained the speed of light your mass would approach infinity and the universe would collapse!

Light speed seems to be the way we measure time. Lets say you were on the highway and light speed was 60 mph.
As you approach that car notice how it slows down as you approach 60.
At 60 the car stands still.
You have now reached the speed of light or, time.
If you go faster than 60, your passing time. therefore going back in time.
Why? Your getting to your destination FASTER than 60 or time.
Why can't you go faster than that? I'm not really sure. I think it's because we haven't found anything faster than light speed.
I really do think there is a way past this.
You went 65 didn't you?
As a civilisation were still babies in time.
I think faster than Light/time speed will eventually happen.
We thought the sound barrier was impossible to break.

Funny, have we put way too much thought into this light speed thingy?

There is a theory that as you get close to the speed of light time slows down for you. Of course if that's true then the light we see from say the sun that's 8 minutes old, would really be older because times slowing down for it, or something like that. So in theory Yes you can travel through time, but theory=idea :p

No. It will not travel back in time. Time will stay the same but the body will outdistance the light emitted from a particular body (earth). Therefore, it would be possible to look back into time by traveling faster than light and observing the object that you wish to see.

Einstein says no. But we have been able to experimentally speed a particle faster than light, and we have seen it arrive before it leaves. Generally, though, as a particle accelerates closer to the speed of light it becomes infinitely massive and infinitesimally small.
